Pupils* experience built history and thus learn about the value and significance of cultural monuments - that is the idea behind "denkmal aktiv"!

"denkmal aktiv" provides the framework for school projects on the topics of cultural heritage and monument protection for an entire school year. Schools taking part in denkmal aktiv are accompanied and financially supported by the Deutsche Stiftung Denkmalschutz and its partners in terms of expertise and coordination.

Target group

• General and vocational schools at secondary level I and II
• Primary schools with grades 5 and 6
• Teacher training and continuing education institutions
• Individual schools or a group of several schools

Annual call and application:

between March and May.

Funding

Schools that actively participate in denkmal aktiv are supported with around 2,000 € each for the implementation of their projects (per school year).
