World Heritage Recipes - the OWHC cookbook

World Heritage cities and their local specialities presented in a wonderful combination!

Enjoy the diversity of World Heritage cities in Northwest Europe and North America by learning about their local food specialities as well as their outstanding universal values. A wonderful new recipe book invites you to leave through and be enticed to start cooking and baking right after.

The World Heritage Recipes published by the Organization of World Heritage Cities is now available in English, French, and a German version.

On two double pages, recipes are described on the one hand and their significance as well as background for the respective city are presented. On the other hand, the outstanding universal value of the site is made clear. The immateriality of the recipes is intended to create an emotional access to the material World Heritage city or site and thus make its uniqueness tangible.

The culinary invitation goes out to cook and thereby contribute to the preservation of intangible heritage and to visualize the world heritage sites - have fun and bon appétit!
